The Programs that Make a Difference
The PTA provides many valuable services. Last year it offered more
that 40 programs including Student of the Month recognition, Accelerated
Reading prizes, educational assemblies, and very successful events like Bedtime
Story Hour, Drive-In Movie Night, Red Ribbon Week, Toys for Tots and the hugely successful
Canned Food Drive. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Only through the efforts of the PTA, can Harvey Green students get the extra dollars they
need for class projects, new library books, computer lab equipment, emergency
supplies and more.
Only through the efforts of the PTA, are teachers, students
and volunteers recognized with special ceremonies, welcoming teas and more.
And only through the participation of all of us can we keep
this vital service group going.

Reflections Program
Held annually, the Reflections Program is
a national event sponsored by the PTA.
Children are invited to enter photographs, pictures (painting,
sketch, watercolor, etc.), stories or music compositions in the Reflections Program at
Harvey Green school.

PTA Membership Drive
As soon as school begins, the official PTA membership drive kicks in, and parents and teachers
are invited to join this important organization!
Member dues can be paid by checks made payable to Harvey Green PTA. Please turn in
the envelopes sent home with your
children as soon as possible.
Dues are divided between the National PTA,
California PTA, Regional Peralta District, and the local Fremont Council with the
majority of the money directly benefiting the children.

Even if you do not have time to serve on a committee, it is very
important that you join the PTA as a member and plan to attend once a
month meetings. This will ensure that everyone has a voice in
the future of our school.
The PTA hopes to see some new faces this year! If you would like
to help or, better yet, chair one of the projects below, give us a call.
