Sites for the Little Ones
- Starfall.com. A great place to begin. Have your student review the alphabet, read the phonetics-based stories, play games to practice sounds, and then keep going with new and more advanced topics in the 'Lets Read Together' sections.
- PBS Kids Games. Games, and links to songs help students improve their English skills. Relies on Shockwave,
but if you don't have it, you can still use the Games Unlimited version.

ESL Kidstuff. An ESL children's resource center for English teachers and
parents, with printable flashcards and worksheets.

Sites for Grades 4-6
- Activities for ESL Students . There are over 1,000 quizzes, exercises and puzzles on this site. Web-sites to help ELL/ESL students of all ages.
- Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab. Scroll past
the ads to see the ist of easy to use listening exercises including short listening exercises and long conversations with
easy, medium and difficult ranges.
- Karin Cintron's . ESLpartyland is divided into
Student and Teacher areas. The Student side has 'Learning With The Internet,' 'Music,' a Quiz Center (Hot Potatoes
Javascript quizzes) and more. Parent supervision advised ALWAYS when using chat and boards.

Sites for English Learning Parents
- Five Minute English.Provides short self-study lessons and quick tips for
improving English language skills. The Q and A section (found on the left
navigation) provides quick explanation/usage of common English words/phrases.
- Pronunciation Practice.A collection of links to pronunciation sites.

Colorin Colorado.Excellent bilingual site created especially for Spanish-
speaking parents. Provides information, activities, and advice on helping
children learn to read and succeed. All pages are in English and in Spanish.

THE ESL RESOURCE SITE.Links to ESL, Foreign Language & Translation Web-sites.
- Vance Stevens's List. A lot of web sites for language learning and discovery, but not all for elementary level students. You'll find lots of sites of interest to family members who wish to support their children's efforts while practising and improving their own English skills.
- English as a Second Language. Quizzes, puzzles, games, grammar, many links to other sites, but you have to scroll past the advertising to get to it!
