AFTER SCHOOL BAND SIGN-UPS

The After-School Band Program is once again being made available to all 4th, 5th & 6th grade students at every elementary school. IMPORTANT: Students continuing in the program from last year MUST re-register to participate this year.

This is a free program which is made possible by a grant from the Fremont Education Foundation to FUSD each year. If you are interested in the program you can register on-line at www.fremont-education.org the first day of school or when you receive the flier. Classes begin in October and run through May, one day a week.


Our school is very fortunate. We are the only school of our size in the district with both a beginning band and an intermediate band. Beginners meet on Tuesdays, 3:00pm - 4:00pm. Intermediates meet on Thursdays, 3:00pm - 4:00pm.

A few "public" performances are part of the entire band experience, and students will be expected to perform at both our holiday musical and attendance area concerts, among others.

Fremont Education Foundation Thank you to the Fremont Education Foundation (FEF) for funding the After School Band Programs! FEF has raised more than $75,000 so far this year to provide funding for after-school elementary band programs in all Fremont Unified School District elementary schools. The FEF needs to raise $100,000 to expand the band programs next year for the 1,000+ Fremont students in grades 4-6 who participate in After School Band. Musical Instrument Donations The Fremont Education Foundation has over 1,000 students registered in the beginning band program, but only has 14 instruments available to be loaned out. It is our goal that no child be excluded due to financial inability to rent an instrument. Please contact me if you have an instrument to donate.
