About Harvey Green Elementary School
History
Harvey Green Elementary school is located in Fremont, California
less than an hour from both San Francisco and Silicon Valley. The school
was named after school board member HarveyGreen. It opened in
1959 and served 350 children. In 1964, it became part of the Fremont
Unified School District. Many changes have taken place within our community
and at our school since that time. Our population is much more diverse,
a fact we celebrate and incorporate into our daily programs.
Harvey Green Elementary school benefits from a shared leadership
style with staff, students and community working together. Students, staff,
parents and the community at Harvey Green have created a caring culture
with a high level of enthusiasm and commitment.
