Materials
Every student should come to class everyday prepared with a 3-ring binder, dividers or folders, binder paper(loose leaf and spiral notebook), graph paper, assignment book, pencils, mini pencil sharpener, erasers, red pens, colored pencils, mini-stapler, staples(if not standard), and a ruler.

Assignment Books
Students will write homework in the school assignment books daily before leaving class. This way you will always know what they have to do for homework every night. If you are not seeing this happen, please encourage your son or daughter to start keeping track of their assignments. Organization is key to the success of middle school students. You will be able to check the accuracy of these assignments by logging onto the school website nightly.

Homework
• Homework will be assigned nightly, Monday through Friday, which should take about 30 minutes each night. (Yes, this means there will be homework over the weekend.)
• All class work and homework should be kept in the binder and brought to class daily.
• Homework will be graded daily, and collected daily.

Classroom Rules
• Be respectful of others thoughts, ideas, and personal items.
• Raise your hand and wait to be recognized before contributing to class.
• All work for this class should be: Neat, Complete, and On Time.
• Mrs. Nathan, not the bell or the time on the clock, will dismiss class at the end of each period.

Classroom Discipline
• First offense: Verbal Warning
• Second Offense: Student will write a letter to me about his or her behavior.
• Third Offense: Detention and communication with parents.
• Fourth Offense: Responsibility Center (Includes Administration)
*Some behaviors call for immediate action and the student will be asked to leave the classroom immediately. You will be notified immediately.

Daily Procedures
• Warm-up exercises to be done upon entering classroom.
• Correct warm-up and homework from previous night and address questions concerning them.
• Introduce new topic.
