GUIDANCE AND STUDENT PLANNING
Counselors assist students and parents in development of academic and career plans for high school and post-secondary options. They prepare students for academic transitions and facilitate individual decision-making. Students are given direction on appropriate course selection and counselors develop an educational plan.
Students increase their personal awareness by identifying strengths and weaknesses while applying this newly acquired self-knowledge to career and educational choices. These competencies and skills aid them in their future planning.
